The cartoon depicts Jefferson about to burn the American Constitution. However, the clouds part and and eagle is seemingly saving the Constitution and defending it by clawing Jefferson. The other documents that are already ablaze include the works of Voltaire and Thomas Paine. The altar is named the "Altar to Gallic Despotism" which signifies Jefferson's seeming admiration for the despotism in France.

This cartoon depicts Thomas Jefferson as an emaciated dog, which is being stung in the behind by a hornet. The sting is apparently causing the dog to vomit out gold coins labeled as "two million". It seems the dog is vomiting in the direction of a prancing Frenchmen which is offering the lands of Florida and Louisiana.

This cartoon is particularly about the Embargo Act that Jefferson implemented, and it is depicted as a turtle. It is probably because the Embargo act was a cumbersome and hindering obstacle for most people in America. Since turtles are often associated with being slow, clumsy, and cumbersome, this most likely was the reason why it was depicted as the Embargo Act.

Here, Thomas Jefferson is torn between two depictions of the British King holding a club, and Napoleon wielding a sword. Jefferson is clearly being victimized by both the two opposing nations eager for the support of the fairly new nation. Napoleon seems to be reaching into Jefferson's pocket and jingling out money, symbolizing the economic purchases we have made with them.

Since the word "Ograbme" is the word "embargo" backwards, it is almost a mockery of the actual situation. The actual embargo act is depicted as a heavy, aggressive turtle once more. This time, it is hindering an American trader from successfully shipping his product overseas. The turtle also seems to have a license to stop the trader.
