Who should win the Revolutionary War? The British or the Colonies?
With both their intense spirit and motivation, the Americans should win the Revolutionary War. With 150 years of self sufficiency under their belt, the Colonist Patriots were quite familiar to being independent and completely separate from Britain. Also, the United Colonies consisted of a very large land mass, which proved to be a major disadvantage to the British, since their limited number of troops could only stay at one place at a time. Not only were the colonist familiar to the terrain, the British had to be shipped across the Atlantic to the Colonies. All the Americans had to do was to defend their home country and outlast the British offensive forces. In addition, Americans had an incredible amount of zeal and enthusiasm when it came to patriotism. Their emotional strength in the war would pay dividends for them in the long run. The colonists should win the Revolutionary War.
Even since ancient history, Great Britain has proved itself to be a powerful military force. With the largest navy fleet in the world, the British could control the coastlines of the colonies and easily intercept any supplies on their way to the colonies. Also, Britain had a very large, well trained army that were not only more professional, but very organized. In addition, the British army received much aid from many American loyalists, who were still loyal to the crown of England. The American army had untrained troops and very little supplies, while the British were well equipped for war to say the least. The Americans lacked a central government to forcefully lead against the British army. The British should win the Revolutionary War.
